  • Dr. Linda Kuhn and Dr. Sue Suska The Horses of Shackleford Banks
  • 1 CE Hour
    • Learn more about this majestic herd and the efforts it takes to ensure their welfare, genetic diversity,
    • Dr. Linda Kuhn is a local veterinarian who works with the National Park Service to attend to the unique needs of this native herd and Dr. Sue Suska is the National Park Service Horse Biologist who oversees the herd.

  • Guided by the National Parks Service Horse Biologist and the herd’s veterinarian
  • Explore the natural habitat of the famous wild horses (walking on sand required)
  • Inclement weather back up plan is Sunday, April 27.
