High 5 Grants
Each year, the NCVMA allocates up to $25,000 to distribute between 5 qualified organizations in North Carolina. Each annual grant of up to $5,000 promotes community health, education, and responsible animal care.

Helping the people and animals of NC through education, community health + compassionate care.
Past Recipients
High 5 Grant recipients are transforming funds into essential facility upgrades, supplies, and educational opportunities throughout North Carolina.

How High 5 Grants Are Making an Impact
Possumwood Acres
Possumwood Acre’s Wildlife Sanctuary put their High 5 Grant to work for their reptile rehabilitation program. Funds provided essential skills training for staff and volunteers, medical supplies and shell repair equipment, and educational reptile presentations for community schools.
Rescue Ranch
Rescue Ranch utilized High 5 Grant funds to complete a long-awaited barn insulation project. The improvements provided warm shelter for their goats, pigs, sheep, turkeys, and miniature horses on cold nights. The improvements also helped them continue to reach the community through educational barnyard tours, camps, and special events.
