Session 1
Title: Lyme Disease: Why Do Blue Dots Happen to Good Dogs?
Presenter: Dr. Linda Grace, MS, DVM
This session provides an overview of canine Lyme borreliosis, including its history, vectors, clinical signs, treatment options, and vaccination strategies. Attendees will also learn about how Lyme vaccines work and how to reduce risk of infection in dogs.
Session 2
Title: Innovations in Cardiology
Presenter: Dr. Linda Grace, MS, DVM
This lecture highlights current insights into myxomatous mitral valve disease in dogs, drawing from the 2024 North American Cardiology Summit and updated ACVIM guidelines. Attendees will review diagnostics and treatment recommendations for each stage of disease progression.

Speaker Bio
Dr. Linda Grace, MS, DVM
Dr. Grace earned her BS and MS from Murray State University and her DVM from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced small animal medicine in the Carolinas for over 13 years and has served as a professional services veterinarian with Boehringer Ingelheim for more than 16 years. Her work has included educational support for Tufts, Cornell, and Virginia-Maryland CVMs, as well as national and international lecture experience. She currently resides in the Blacksburg, VA area and volunteers her surgical skills to feral cat TNR programs.
