The NCVMA and Friends of NCVMA Foundation will host an equine vaccination clinic in Ashe County on Saturday, Oct. 10.
This area was hit hard by Hurricane Helene and there are no large animal veterinarians that we can identify in this area.
The cost is $25 per horse and covers seasonal deworming, rabies, tetanus, Eastern and Western equine encephalomyelitis (EEE, WEE) and West Nile vaccines, plus optional Coggins testing. Horse owners are asked to register in advance to ensure we have enough vaccines on hand at the event. You can pay in advance online or pay in person. Checks should be made out to FRIENDS OF NCVMA FOUNDATION.
Volunteers needed:
We need veterinarians, helpers with equine or large animal experience, and people to help direct traffic and do other odd jobs as needed.
